In January, we decided to offer people the chance to take over the Wellness Almanac’s instagram account. Well, accurately, we kind of cajoled/begged/bullied/enticed… Amie LeBlanc kicked things off, and every other week, we’ve had a new host. (Check out Victoria Saddleman’s highlight reel, and Kalmia Hockin’s recap, here.) Marilyn Marinus agreed to get on board. And once I again, I discovered that someone I already knew I liked was even better and more lovable. Here’s Marilyn’s look back.
Did I ever think I’d blog?
Absolutely not!
Well, is it even blogging when taking over The Wellness Instagram account?
Lisa wants to know about my experience and wants me to share with you all.
Honestly, my first struggle started by playing around with a “new to me” camera, transferring photos from camera to “old computer”. I got that far and then worked with wifi that was slower than molasses. How the heck was I actually going to be successful in posting anything on Instagram?
Imagine my surprise when “voila!” my first post was born.
All in all, it was a fun and reflective week.
I wanted to post so much but didn’t want to seem to over ambitious.
I guess a part of me thought that it was getting to personal.
I was glad to have a week to share with you.
It helped me. It slowed me down, put me in my place, made me see me again. It’s funny how I lost track of what makes me happy, healthy and whole.
I wanted to do this to remind everyone that we each are unique. None of us are the same but we each have that common goal to be healthy and happy. We can only create that by connecting with ourselves.
Never stop believing in yourself, find your own happiness, you can do it!
