Victoria Saddleman was the second person to step up as our guestagrammer on the Wellness Almanac’s instagram account.
Did she know what I was asking of her? Well, I hardly knew what I was asking of people. It was kind of a “jump in and see how the water seems” invitation.
So, she did.
Can I tell you how much I loved her posts, her perspective, her amazing photography?
Now that she’s had a few weeks to process the experience, she’s shared this recap:
When Lisa asked me, Victoria Saddleman, to takeover her instagram page ‘The Wellness Almanac’ I was a little nervous, but as the week went along I got more and more excited.

“you don’t always need a logical reason for doing everything in your life. Do it because you want to; because it’s fun; because it makes you happy.” Unknown
I often found myself observing the clouds and mountains to find a perfect photo to post.
All my pictures are taken on my cellphone camera.

This summer was taken in the summer of 2015 when all the forest fires smoked up #mountcurrie. This photo was taken along the Joffre. After seeing all the snow starting to melt, I can’t help but remember that spring is coming and not too long after is fire season.
I’m not gonna lie I was a little upset when my week was over because it was something I looked forward too in my busy work days. Some of the pictures I posted were taken while I was at work as a matter of fact. I am currently working at the Squamish and Lil’wat Cultural Center in the catering division; However, I work in the gift shop from time to time. For a second job I do housekeeping at different resorts around Whistler, such as the Whiski Jack Resort, Village Gate House, etc.
To say more about myself, I grew up in Kamloops with my older sister Karlie and my mom Roxanne. We moved to Mount Currie, my mom’s hometown, in the summer of 2010. I am graduating high school this year, after school I plan to go to post secondary for Culinary Arts.

“Reflections in the mirror may be distorted by socially constructed ideas of beauty.” Unknown.
Photography has always been a hobby of mine; I am observant, and photography is an “art of observation”.
I mostly share my photos on the Mount Currie Photography page on facebook, and on my personal instagram account.
I would like to thank Lisa Richardson for this wonderful opportunity. I would also like to shout out to the beautiful people who supported me through my takeover week, you guys are awesome.
If you know someone you think would take us on a great adventure, nominate them as a future guestagrammer, by emailing TheWellnessAlmanac@gmail.com
