But it's easy to feel as if we're moving into post-pandemic life. As the Globe … Continue reading Does a pandemic end with a bang or with a whimper?

How much brilliance are we sidelining with our systems?
I've enjoyed following the American writer and journalist Anand Giradharadas this year, because he's so on-point in taking down corruption and the mega-rich and scrutinizing the system we're all living in. I normally would take a wide swerve around economic analysis as if it was rotting roadkill, but his take is so feisty and fascinating... … Continue reading How much brilliance are we sidelining with our systems?
The Pemberton Library’s Summer Reading Club starts June 25
Summer is for fun, chilling, taking the pressure off. And it's good to remember that reading is important! Whose job is it to hold this pain?
When I first heard of the 215 children found, I was not surprised. I have heard first hand accounts of what happened at those schools. I was told once that I don't have to hold my family's pain. In my family I am a first generation out of residential school. My mother and most of … Continue reading Whose job is it to hold this pain?
