Co-Creating a Sustainable BC is a brand new initiative from the non-profit BC-based Fraser Basin Council (FBC), developed to encourage and support youth sustainability leadership in BC.
This initiative will be starting this summer in the Sea-to-Sky Corridor, designed for youth between the ages of 16 and 30.
A cohort of up to 12 youth will be engaged in a nine-month long initiative to collaborate on sustainability projects and co-create new visions for resilient and inclusive communities.
They will participate in bi-weekly dialogues exploring topics such as the meaning of sustainability, the characteristics of leadership, and regional issues.
At the end, youth will also have an opportunity to develop their own projects to address environmental, social, and/or economic sustainability gaps in the community, potentially explored through a climate change lens.
Apply before Wednesday, July 31st at 6 PM.
