Following the November 26 Information Night, the Sea to Sky Putting Children First Initiative, in partnership with SPARC BC, has put out a survey, to solicit community feedback that will help develop a Child Care Strategy for Pemberton.
The strategy will include a community needs and issues assessment related to licensed child care for children newborn – 12 years.
The purpose of this survey is to understand, from parents’ and guardians’ perspectives, the current and anticipated child care service needs for Pemberton.
For this survey, “child care” includes group daycare, in-home child care, preschool and out-of-school care. The information you provide is critical in assisting in child care planning and policy development.
There will be one draw prize of $150 for completing the survey.
Survey deadline is December 10.
The survey takes about 25 minutes to complete – although as I only have one Small, it took me about 10 minutes.
This is the first formal chance that community members and families have had to inform policy makers and funders what the real situation is, on the ground, when it comes to childcare. Make sure your voice is heard.
