Growing Great Children & Vancouver Coastal Health Present:

Journeying within Parenthood: Making a Change

 Saturday June 4th 2016

10:00-12:30

Sea to Sky Community Services Meeting space in Pemberton

Using the metaphor of a journey, participants will embark on choosing one small change or shift that they have wanted to make that will honour their preferred experience of being a parent.

Kerrie Palmer M.A., RCC, will lead participants through a metaphorical journey by asking a series of questions that invite the opportunity to begin the shift that you have wanted for yourself. Participants will come away with words, images and ideas that will help them prepare for, and lead themselves, on this journey to make their preferred change or shift that better reflects their preferred experience as parents.

Kerrie Palmer is a child, youth and adult psychotherapist serving people in Mount Currie, Pemberton and Whistler. Kerrie is a Registered Clinical Counsellor and a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. She has been providing counselling and consultation in a variety of counselling settings since 2009. Kerrie has permission from Maggie Carrey to use this Journey Metaphor (narrativepractices.com.au).

Fee: By donation

This workshop is a continuation and complementary theme from the first session in April of honoring the rewards and challenges of becoming a parent. It is not a repeat. It will also be open to anyone to attend; however not appropriate for children and those toddling.
