Shannon has lived in the Pemberton area since 2000, so is known to many… but for those who don’t know her, or know her in one capacity, we invited her to take over the Wellness Almanac instagram account. She launched her takeover on Monday with a commitment to not filter her posts to perfection, but to show up, just as she is.

Shannon has over 20 years of management experience in government, stakeholder relations, communications, tourism and marketing. She worked at the Resort Municipality of Whistler for 13 years as the Manager of Legislative Services and Manager of Protective Services. She worked for Tourism Whistler for seven years as the Manager of Membership and Visitor Services. Shannon was heavily involved in the execution of the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Whistler and held the position of Chief of Protocol hosting 125 dignitaries from around the world including the Prime Minister of Canada, Governor General of Canada, King of Norway and Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex.

Shannon is currently a consultant and is the Executive Director for the Lower Mainland Local Government Association.

Shannon has lived in Pemberton since 2000 with her husband Steve and is raising her two children here.
