Greg Ferguson, who’s name you might recognize as the Blue Heron Project guy, has partnered up with the Pemberton Wildlife Association to coordinate several wildlife projects in our area this year.
The new bat project is the first time anyone has looked at the local bat population.
He’s super interested to hear your sightings, particularly of bats in buildings.
And take note, April 17 is Bat Appreciation Day. So, take the opportunity to feel appreciative. A healthy bat population means a lot of mosquitoes NOT EATING YOU ALIVE this summer.
If you find a dead bat, see bat activity or know of a bat roost, let them know: email@example.com, firstname.lastname@example.org or call Greg at 604 349 4750.
