Ty has ALL leukaemia – he was diagnosed November 8, 2016. He’s now in kindergarten, while continuing a monthly maintenance treatment that will continue until January 2020. As part of their experience with leukaemia, Ty and his family started an annual Toy Drive and once again, this Christmas, he and his family are spreading love to everyone at the BC Children’s Hospital. With our help.
You can drop off unwrapped, new only, treasures for “Super Ty’s Toy Drive” for the BC Children’s Hospital Oncology Treasure Chest to Signal Hill Elementary School (to Mrs Leverton’s class) or to the Pemberton Children’s Centre. There’s also a box at Revolution Fitness in Pemberton, the Pemberton Brewery, Spud Valley Sporting Goods and a drop-off at the Circle Kids in Whistler and Storm Strength and Performance Centre in Squamish.
The items most needed are: activity books, Play Doh, stickers, games, LOL balls, ponies, dolls, Lego, trains, cars, Barbie, Playmobile, puzzles.
Ty’s mom, Kate Sangster says: “We’re getting excited about the drop off day at BC Children’s Hospital. Most in need right now are toys ! We have lots of pyjamas, housecoats and cozy slippers. Thank you to everybody who has donated thus far and all your continued support.”
Deadline for drop off is December 14th. Thanks for supporting “Super Ty!”
Ty’s mom, Kate Sangster launched this, the 3rd year of Super Ty’s Toy and PJ Drive, in November, with this interview on Mountain FM,
Ty still gets to pick out a toy from the treasure box, after each treatment – it’s a great incentive to help these Smalls dig deep and be brave and have something to look forward to.
