The Simple Life: a recap of a week spent with Michelle Beks

I finished my stint as “guestgrammer” on the Winds of Change Instagram account last week.

As I took photos and then chose ones to post I found they all had a common thread:

There is simple beauty all around us if we choose to see it.

Most of the time we are all so busy, wrapped up in the minutia of our everyday lives.

The work on the farm is never-ending and living where I work I can never really get away from it.

For me, pausing in my busy day to take a photo and post it to Instagram gave me the chance to take a breath and really look at the world around me.

By the end of my week of posting photos I saw a pattern emerge. The simple things in my everyday life are what is important to me.

Riding bikes with my 5 year old grand daughter to get carrots for lunch or my laundry drying on the line, fluttering in the wind.
