The takeover was a very rad experience. I’m always on social media but it was cool to set a goal and tell a story to a new audience. By taking the followers along with me on a journey, it helped me learn a few things about myself.
During this reflection I realized just how lucky we are to call this beautiful neck of the woods “home.”
We live in paradise and most people only dream about visiting a place that is just like Neverland. I’m able to both focus on my career and do the things I love, right outside my door without the bustle of “city life.”
When camping, we meet many people from the city who escape for the weekend and we are lucky to always be here. We can drive for 5 minutes or 30 minutes and have our choice of places to camp, hike and explore. I traded in my stilettos for plaid (aka the Pemberton Dinner Jacket) 4 years ago and haven’t looked back. No matter where you are in the world, take the time to get outside and (re)discover Mother Nature because it will nourish your soul.
