I'm a believer that there's a connection between effort and reward - the greater the effort, the greater the sense of satisfaction. Here's today's proofpoint. Gary Martin's photo of the week from his hike Sunday. Here's a view of my 6 hour round trip hike up to the upper paragliding launch. Such an amazing … Continue reading Photo of the Week: Gary Martin
Get radical. Play chess.
I don't want to lead a piece about Pemberton's chess club with an infographic about the brain, because I think the brainy-stereotype has kept a lot of people away from playing chess. But, let's rethink that brain=nerd equation. In a recent interview with snowboarder Kevin Pearce, Kate MacLennan writes about the Love Your Brain foundation he … Continue reading Get radical. Photo of the Week: Dave Steers
What makes me so grateful to the four photographers who have offered to share their images with us each Sunday is the amazing perspectives they bring... Case in point, today's shot, from Dave Steers, of the headwaters of the Lillooet River. We all live downstream of this waterway. Who knew the headwaters were so … Continue reading Photo of the Week: Dave Steers
