Last weekend’s Christmas Craft Fair, hosted by the Pemberton Children’s Centre, was so so busy, lovely, and well-attended. I hope any of your festive-themed outings over the coming days and weeks bring hugs with people you love to see, hand-crafted treasures, and a sense of peace.
Here’s a small round-up of possible places to experience that – starting with Thursday’s offer from Mile One where $1 from any purchase of a meal or alcoholic drink sold between 5pm and close will be donated to the Pemberton Food Bank. (Loralee from the food bank will be there for information and to receive other donations. Applies to take-out orders too!)
The vibes continue with Friday’s Christmas Tree Lighting at the Pemberton Community Barn, and on Saturday, choose from or spread yourself around to the fundraiser to support Tiffany Stark, wreath making opportunities at Dandelion and Clover, the Birken Christmas market, the Artisan Bazaar at Ts’zil Learning Centre, and the Warmth, Water and Wilderness Art show at the Museum.
Update: Please note that Lil’wat’s Elders gathering has postponed to follow cultural protocol following a passing in the community. Next week, enjoy Elvis with the Elders on Tuesday and grab tickets for a solstice concert on the 21st at the SLCC.
Also, don’t forget to get your tickets for the Nutcracker performance from Pemberton Dance on Saturday and Sunday, and the Sound of Music, from the PSS Drama crew, running four shows all next week.
