Free all ages story time with Tanina at Stay Wild on National Truth and Reconciliation Day, Sept 30, 1:30 – 3pm. All welcome.

Leah Langlois is the wonderful owner of Stay Wild Natural Health, which became a Living Wage Certified employer this year, and is a wonderful place to meet a friend for a juice, shop for a cookbook, get your groceries, or get some supplements or wellness advice. Leah is a genuinely community minded human being and she’s so open to ideas – at least to mine – she’s offered to host after-hours Cookbook Club pop-up gatherings and a Kitchen Table Official Community Plan session.

She recently approached Natalie at the Chamber, expressing her desire to contribute more meaningfully to Truth and Reconciliation Day than just by granting her staff the day off and closing the store. The pair talked about the lack of opportunities in Pemberton for people to engage with First Nations culture on September 30th.

As the Chamber posted, to announce this Storytelling with Tanina event, Leah “expressed her aspiration to fill this gap and create a space for such engagement.”

As a result, Stay Wild Natural Health, the Pemberton & District Chamber of Commerce, and Winds of Change (the Wellness Almanac) are thrilled to introduce “Storytelling with Tanina Williams of the Líl̓wat Nation.”

The Líl̓wat Nation has deep-seated connections to the land, and through Tanina’s narratives, we aim to cultivate a deeper appreciation of their profound relationship with the land.

We warmly invite you all to join us; the doors will open at 1:30, and Tanina will be sharing her stories from 2 pm to 3 pm.
