Naomi Prohaska’s Mount Logan Summit, April 16, 7:30pm – Slideshow at the library

At the library on Tuesday April 16th at 7:30 pm, enjoy an inspiring evening with Naomi Prohaska.

Naomi Prohaska is 17 years old and lives in Pemberton BC. She has been skiing her entire life, and started mountaineering three years ago, with a big goal. In May 2017 she reached her dream and became the youngest person to summit Canada’s tallest mountain, Mt. Logan (5959 m). Come out to hear about her training and record breaking expedition, see a slideshow and learn about her next goal, becoming the youngest Canadian to climb the tallest mountain in North America, Denali (6190 m).

This is a free event and everyone is welcome!
Doors open at 7:15 pm.
There is no need to register for this event.

    Lisa, I’m going to phone Karl Ricker (in Whistler) because he did this climb in 1959 with Hans Gmoser..I’ve got Chic Scott’s book about Hans and its all in there.pictures too.Karl was 23 at the time and Hans was 26.I’ve forwarded this to some people here that might not get the Wellness Almanac.I hope it was all right to reply to you from this and not your other e-mail..Jan Naylor
