Free screening of The Radicals at Village Yoga on Friday

If you missed the chance to see The Radicals when it toured to the Xet’olacw School and the Whistler Film Festival in November, now is your chance!

Village Yoga Pemberton, located in downtown Pemberton, in the AG Grocery mall, is offering a Friday Fun Night Series, as a community offering.

All events are by donation (cash-only) with all proceeds going back into community ♥

On Friday, 18 January, they will host their first Mindful Movie Night, and screen The Radicals.

Come get cozy on blankets and bolsters for this community event.

With breathtaking cinematography, The Radicals is a documentary film that follows four snowboarders and surfers driven to become social and environmental stewards through their connection with the environments in which they play. By enjoying and appreciating their natural surroundings, these awakened athletes introduce us to some of the worlds most dedicated activists and game-changing wilderness initiatives that can actually change the world.

Together they journey across the West Coast of British Columbia, weaving a story of learning, inspiration and resistance. From the Tahltan fight for the Iskut Headwaters, BC Hydro’s corruption in Xwísten, art as resilience on Haida Gwaii, to a coastal uprising against fish farms off the coast of Vancouver Island, each community teaches the athletes to understand what it means to be a true radical.

The Radicals inspires us to shift our perspective, rise above the challenges of modern society and dig into our roots to create radical waves of change, while still enjoying the thrill of nature, gravity, and a sense of real purpose.
