Election Day is Saturday, October 20.
Find out where your VOP & SLRD candidates stand, who they are, and get answers to your questions, at the All Candidates Meeting, Wednesday October 10, 7-9pm, in the Great Hall at the Pemberton & District Community Centre.
If you’re curious about running yourself, the Village of Pemberton is holding a Candidates Information Session on Monday, September 10, from 7 – 8:30pm.
Nomination details for those running to represent Electoral Area C on the SLRD Board, or to run as school trustee to represent Area C or the Village of Pemberton to the School District 48, can find details at https://www.slrd.bc.ca/inside-slrd/legislative-services/elections
Then, on October 10, the Pemberton + District Chamber in partnership with the Pemberton Off Road Cycling Association (PORCA) and the Pemberton Valley Trail Association (PVTA) will host an All-Candidates meeting. Candidates will give a brief presentation and attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions on topics that are important to them. The event is free of charge and open to the public.
Says the Chamber, “The Pemberton area is at a pivotal point right now. Watching the trickle effect of growth is not an option anymore. We need strong leaders to guide the area in responsible manner.”
