While the Ironman Canada event has been re-routed this year, so as not to travel through Pemberton, highway closures in Whistler will still impact local businesses or those travelling south through Whistler.
This year, the bike leg will travel from Rainbow Park on the west side road, through Alpine, down along Highway 99 to the Callaghan, and back, for three laps before heading into the Village of Whistler, for the finish.
Traffic will be impacted throughout race day, until 5pm. Northbound traffic will not be able to pass from Callaghan Valley towards Whistler, after 11:30am.
Northbound traffic passing through Whistler towards Pemberton will experience delays, as there will be single alternating traffic between Alpine Way and Nancy Greene Drive from 6:30am to 5pm.

Please note: this information will NOT be mailed out to Pemberton, Lil’wat and N’Quatqua as has happened in previous years.
