Move over TED. Redx Talks are here. And their founder, Cowboy Smithx is speaking at the SLCC, March 28
Founded two years ago, REDx promotes stories of Resilience and Empowerment, while facilitating Discourse (REDx – silent x) around issues important to Indigenous people around the world.
Creator and curator, Cowboy Smith, is speaking at the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre on March 28, 6:30pm = 8:30pm, to launch the Business Startup Program.
The Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Líl̓wat Stl’atl ́imc Business Start-up Program (SLSBSP) is a new program being launched by the Whistler Centre for Sustainability in partnership with the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Líl̓wat Cultural Centre (SLCC). This program supports new business start-ups for local First Nation members from regional Indigenous communities including the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Nation, Líl̓wat, Lower and Upper Stl’atl ́imc Nations.
The program builds upon the success of the 2015, 2016 and 2017 Social Venture Challenge programs to encourage, support and grow new businesses with a social and/or environmental purpose through capacity building, mentorship, and raising awareness.
