UPDATED February Round Up: What’s happening this month

I regularly drive past the roundabout in Pemberton and read the big sign with a sigh: oh, look, another cool event that I missed. Doh!

So, in an effort to manage my own FOMO, and poor time management, I thought I’d trawl through Facebook and see if I can round up what’s happening in February. The power of advance notice and planning ahead, right?

If you have other events to add, email TheWellnessAlmanac@gmail.com, or comment below, and I’ll add them in.

Happy February. Here’s to the shortest month of the year and the waxing crescent moon, to Imbolc, Valentine’s, Superbowls, snow and tacos!

Thursday February 8 Massage for Kids: a free workshop for parents and caregivers with Cathy Benns RMT, 7:30pm, Pemberton Community Centre

Learn simple massage techniques that are fun, relaxing and reconnecting from Cathy Benns, a Registered Massage Therapist since 1999. Massage is one of the the oldest ways to heal the body and build connected relationships. In today’s fast paced world it is important to set aside some time to slow down, reconnect and foster the one on one time that help children feel important and secure. Massage is often a stress-buster for children. (Their stresses may be friends, starting a new activity, school, body image, family challenges or hitting developmental milestones later). Once massage is established as a family routine it can benefit your child throughout their growing years.
