I read a David Suzuki quote once – “mountains are the water towers of the world” – and it has often returned to me, this realization that here, in the mountains, we are upstream of so much life and activity. And these rocks that we see carry the secrets of the headwaters, even further upstream, at the hidden beginning of things.
Polek Rybczynski shares this photo that he took along Pemberton Creek in the dusk on Friday, March 17:
It is my favourite time to hang out at the creek as the rock really shine, and more so when it rains. So many interesting rocks, all tumbling down.
It’s the little things.
