Winter. Over the years, it has mocked us, buried us in, teased us, rained on our parade, and stopped us in our tracks in sheer wonder. A season for hibernation, or outdoor revelation?
Whatever it proves to be, it’s a good excuse for a community get-together, and the Pemberton Winterfest, originally started to count down to the Olympics, is going strong, and planning (and plan B-ing) to celebrate over the weekend of January 22-24.
It’s FREE. Family friendly. Based at One Mile Lake, with ice hockey, curling, ice fishing, skating, fireworks and a polar bear plunge.
