Live in the Moment: How to Be More Present

It can be challenging to live in the moment when it feels like there a million and one things to do and places to go. However, paying attention to the moment will help reduce stress and will bring more joy into the day! Being present will not lead to a less productive day. In fact, you may be more productive as your mind will not be filled with concerns you can not address at that time anyways.

5 tips to becoming more present

1. Put your cellphone away. There is no need to be checking your phone every 5 minutes. Instead focus on the people around you and build more meaningful connections.

2. Actively tune into to what you are doing. Pay attention to how your clothes feel when you put them on in the morning, how your feet feel against the floor, and what your food tastes and feels like when you chew it in your mouth.

3. Multi-task less. Do one thing at a time, fully committing yourself to what you’re doing.

4. Meditate daily.

5. Remember that being present will only enrich your experiences and relationships.
