Here’s to courage, honesty, and speaking your truth.
16 year old Pemberton student, Dawn Archer, has shared her battle with depression, online, in a story recently featured in The Question.
Take a few minutes to watch My Recovery Story.
“I’m not ashamed of having mental illness and I’m going to talk about it. I want other people with mental illness to know that they have nothing to be ashamed of. I tell people to talk to an adult they trust, or if they can’t, they should find an adult to talk to anonymously. There is hope to start recovering, there is light at the end of the tunnel. I want to send that positive message, but I want to be very honest and let people know that to start recovery you need help and support. Without that I know I wouldn’t be as far along in my recovery.” ~ Dawn Archer
