Governments, as a general rule, are more likely to win awards for obfuscation and jargonisation than good communication, which is why it’s nice to see the Village of Pemberton being recognised for Dave Meslin’s “Dazzling Notice Award” – an effort to design the mandatory public hearing and public notices to actually be useful, penetrable, English.
Congrats, Village of Pemberton. Thanks for your commitment to engaging our community. That puts you on the very cutting edge of local governance in Canada. Keep it up.
