Village of Pemberton news on boundary extension, call for artists, and watering restrictions

Here’s the latest news from the Village of Pemberton:

  • boundary extension meeting postponed until June 12 Council meeting, so that staff can research enfolding an additional 14 properties (on the south side of Highway 99 and east of the Industrial Park, and the non-First Nations lands within the Mount Currie area) into the extension;
  • a reminder that the main beach at One Mile Lake park is a dog-free zone and dogs need to be on a leash on the trails;
  • call for artists to design street banners and revamp hydro boxes due June 11
  • residents must restrict watering to 2 days a week, to help conserve town water, starting June 1
  • no more burn piles – category 2 fire restrictions are in effect
  • property tax bills are in the mail, and payment due July 3
