As explained on the Facebook event page:
Swap your previously loved pieces for something new to you at Pemberton’s Fall Clothing Swap.
– $10 with Swappable Clothing
– $20 Empty Handed
All funds raised will go to support a local family who recently had their 11 month old son, Bowen Decker Kindree , diagnosed with a rare type of infant leukemia.
Wanting to downsize or refresh your wardrobe? Bring by any of your previously loved clothing, outdoor apparel, shoes, and/or accessories and SWAP them for something fresh. Please make sure your donations are in good condition, washed and ready for a new home.
If you are coming with clothes, make sure you arrive within the firsrt 30 mins of the event. This will provide volunteers with enough time to hang clothes before the swap bonanza begins.
Unswapped clothing will be donated to Dress for Success, a charity empowering women into the workforce, and the Whistler Re-Use-It Centre, a social enterprise fueling Whistler’s social programs and diverting tonnes of waste from the landfill annually.
