I cornered Ed in the kitchen at work. I knew he took amazing photos, that he has awesome energy and plays a lot outside, riding and building trails and adventuring throughout the region, so I asked him to takeover the Wellness Almanac instagram account. “Sure,” he said. “I’ll give it a go.”
So he did. Last week. And it was awesome.

I was out riding my bike the other day, (not with Ed. I couldn’t keep up with Ed.) and a crew of folk were pedalling up the FSR road.

We chatted briefly. Where you headed? Great day for it. etc
It was their last day, riding here, from Colorado. “You are so lucky to live here,” they said.
You should meet the people, I want to add. But I’m so keen to catch up to my friends and tell them, “They’re from Colorado, and they think WE’RE the lucky ones!”
Every takeover has reiterated that sense for me – look at this beautiful place. Every single image reminds me of it. But it’s the people that amplify that even more. The people who say, “Sure, I’ll give it a go.” “Yeah, I’ve been thinking about it, and I’d like to share my view of the world”. Said “Yeah, i struggled with that, so I thought sharing it might help.” Because that’s wellness. It a nutshell. We might not always be healthy. But if we are surrounded by great people and a beautiful place, at least we’re doing well.
You can follow Ed on instagram as @ebwitwicki. Or pop by @thewellnessalmanac and check out his pics and throw some love on them. That kinda thing is always appreciated.
