Well, this is my last day as guest instagramer (not a real word yet I guess). Thank you for the experience! I thought I would share 4 sunsets... please note the top left one was taken in March (the campfire ban clearly is still in effect right now). One sunset for each season, one for each direction. The picture on the bottom right was taken last summer when we had local smoke from forest fires and the one on the bottom left was taken August 12 last year. This week has helped me to create awareness around my goals for wellness and balance along with honouring creativity and risk taking! Thanks to everyone who read my posts and shared their comments!

Went to The Point in Whistler last night- a beautiful play about grief and time travel and a performance from The Spiritual Warriors... see the medicine wheel on Rich’s t-shirt? I don’t get out much and last night was spent reconnecting with friends, honouring creativity and having fun! Yep - all 4 quadrants honoured yesterday.

Inviting and safe spaces ... certainly and integral part of wellness for me. These pathways lead me to two of my happy places...a massage & the forest.

Well.. I said 4 photos for yesterday but only got two posted.. going to stick to my goal of 4... the medicine wheel has so many applications -yesterday I suggested the 4 stages of life through creativity and a way to honour the child/youth/adult- within all of us. Today I am thinking about how the medicine wheel has influenced my personal journey. This summer I have really made space for myself on my holidays. I chose the picture of me because it shows me in my happy place (hiking in the mountains) Strawberries from Diane’s garden where I share two plots, a picture I am painting that is related to some inner work (second chakra actually) and a photo that invites the idea of a continuous journey...the circle - like that river that is flowing down and around... back to the beginning maybe? Moving continuously through and within my child, youth, and adult? I wonder how others honour their child, youth and adult? When do we decide we have moved from adult to Elder? So many questions!

Today I am going to share 4 separate photos throughout the day. Michelle Chalfant is a person I found using the free meditation app called Insight Timer. I love how she sees our behaviour and reactions as coming from our ‘child’ (inner child), our ‘adolescent’ (inner one if we are an adult) or from our adult self. The goal of course if we are adults is to respond to others for our adult self. My close friends and family could probably identify when I respond from my child, adolescent or adult. When I am feeling overwhelmed it’s tempting to respond from my child - aka ‘take care of me!!’ When I am afraid or worried I respond from my adolescent-aka- ‘I’m fine, don’t mess with me!’ Personally listening to her podcasts has helped me better understand why I don’t like feeling vulnerable (and why I should allow myself vulnerability) as well as inspiring me to re-find my creativity and paint or draw without judgement (okay working to let go of judgment). If I had to choose one quadrant on the medicine wheel, Michelle Chalfant’s perspective honours my emotional wellness. I would love to hear from others about how they honour their emotional, physical, mental and spiritual wellness! We can learn so much from one another. Wishing you all a great day!

I read this book last summer- it is an easy read and very inspiring- I love Gilbert’s description and relationship with creativity. Today I am going to revisit this gem!
