Elizabeth May is speaking in Whistler tomorrow night
So, what does the Paris UN Climate Change Conference actually mean?
Elizabeth May, leader of the federal Green Party, addresses the tough questions head-on, on Thursday, at the Whistler Conference Centre, as a guest of AWARE.
Sea to Sky Mayors and MLA Jordan Sturdy will join her, as the community at large tackles what the COP21 global climate commitments mean, and how we are going to turn this fossil-fuel-leaking ship around, and fast.

The agenda is:
6pm SOLUTIONS EXPO – Explore climate solutions that individuals and communities can choose to adopt.
7pm KEYNOTE SPEAKER – Elizabeth May will share insights into the COP21 Climate Conference. The challenges and opportunites the agreement creates and the role of communities, businesses and individuals in achieving the global commitments to limit climate temperture increases.
8pm PUBLIC QUESTION & ANSWER PERIOD with Elizabeth May.
8:30pm SEA-to-SKY COMMUNITY CLIMATE ACTION – Mayors of Whistler, Pemberton and Squamish will reflect on climate actions underway and hoped for in each of the Sea-to-Sky communities. MLA Jordan Sturdy will also provide an update on the activities of the provincial Climate Leadership Team and opportunities for public input into their recommendations for climate action at the provincial level.
