For the last week, the lobby of the Pemberton Valley Lodge has been wafting forth the odour of gingerbread and sugar-glue. The Pemberton Gingerbread Project has been up since the 10th December, and is ongoing until Sunday 20th December.
Swing by the Lodge Lobby with a non-perishable food item for the Pemberton Food Bank and admire the creativity of local business owners, when their art supplies are limited to sugar, candy, gingerbread and fiercely festive imaginations.
It’s the 5th year for the Project, designed to help raise awareness and funds for the Pemberton Food Bank. Funds are raised through the entrance fee for the gingerbread competitors, and by auction proceeds, as each creation is auctioned off.
It all culminates on Saturday, December 19, 2015 for Family Day at the Gingerbread Project. Santa will have been lured south by the good vibes and the scent of hot chocolate and cookies, and will be available for photos from 1 PM to 4 PM. Hot Chocolate & cookies will be available for guests. Please bring a non-perishable food item for the Food Bank. Santa photos by donation to the Food Bank.
