The federal election takes place October 19.
(If you are already registered to vote, you should have received your Voter Information Card and where you can vote in the mail. Unlike local elections, where you can register at the polls, to vote in the federal election, YOU MUST BE REGISTERED TO VOTE. If you aren’t registered, or aren’t sure, GO HERE TO REGISTER OR CHECK.)
Please note that you have until 6 p.m. (local time at your home address) on October 13, 2015, to register or to make any changes to your registration. After that deadline, the only way to update your voter registration is at your polling place on election day.
This is the first time we will be able to vote in the West Vancouver-Sunshine Coast-Sea to Sky riding.
According to VoteTogether, an initiative that is tracking polls to encourage people to vote strategically to defeat the Conservatives, this is shaping up to be a battleground riding.
Hear what the four candidates have to say, tonight, at the Pemberton Community Centre, from 6:30pm.
It’s only the future that depends on it.
