My WellnessReads recommendation is the small book Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom.

I picked up the book as a recommendation from someone when I was dealing with the death of a close friend. I found it very helpful.

Tuesdays-with-Morrie

Some time after reading it, I was speaking to a lawyer in the firm who provided legal advice to the community I was working for. He was having a very difficult time due to the imminent death of one of the founding partners, who had just been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer.

I offered and then mailed my copy of Tuesdays with Morrie to the lawyer I had been working with. He found it very helpful and so did pretty much every other person in the law firm.

It seems when he took my book to the office to have it mailed back to me, someone saw it, picked it up and asked about it. That pattern went on for years as the book worked it’s way through the office and it was several yours before the well-worn and oft read book was returned to me.

So, Tuesdays With Morrie is a book you might consider adding to your list of recommended books.

They told me the book helped them cope with the death of their friend and colleague, both while it was still a pending event and then after he had passed away.
