The Pemberton Breeding Bird Survey takes place this Saturday.
It’s a great way for new birders to meet up with old birders… Participants team up with expert birders from outside the valley, too, as the BC Ornithologists send a delegation to assist.
Bring water, sunhat, binoculars and sharp eyes. Extra binoculars will be available.
Meet at 8am at the Pony, in the hope of hitting the trail at 8:30am and wrapping up at noon.
Last year, 63 species of bird was spotted along a 25km stretch of the Pemberton Meadows. Even if you just learn to identify one of those species, that’s one step closer to being fluent in ornithology!
