After competing in a few triathlons last year and watching IRONMAN roll into town, Wellness Almanac contributor Gary Martin said, “what the heck”, (after all, he had all the shiny gear), and signed up for the 2014 IronMan.

As if that weren’t an epic enough mission to tackle, he and four other Iron Men have joined forces to fundraise for the Canuck Place Children’s Hospice.

They hope to raise $10,000 for Canuck Place Children’s Hospice, which provides specialized pediatric palliative care for children with life-threatening illnesses and support for their families.

That’s just one opportunity that has been seized with IRONMAN Canada coming to town.

Thursday night at the Community Centre, the IRONMAN Canada team will be joined by Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Pemberton representatives, to share operations information and chat about the opportunities the event presents.
