I jokingly posted a link to this article in the (not that esteemed) newspaper in the UK, Daily Telegraph, with the headline “Children of mothers who drink alcohol during pregnancy ‘better behaved”. But after I posted it, I felt a bit queasy – FASD is not a laughing matter.
This seminar being offered free for service providers who work with women of child-bearing age, in general and vulnerable populations, including nurses, physicians, pregnancy outreach programmers, midwives, mental health workers or substance use service providers, has received a lot of positive feedback from previous attendees… and provides a valuable context for the conversation.
