There’s obviously an affinity between our fire-fightin’ guys in red and the Big Guy in the Red Suit…
This Saturday, Pemberton Fire Department revive a tradition that last took place in 2006, of bringing Santa to the Museum – delivering him in the fire truck, in order to give the reindeer a rest before their epic world-crossing time-stopping mission to deliver gifts to children everywhere.
Santa would talk to the eager children in the Soo building and maybe have a picture taken to capture the moment. Afterward, they could come out to the fire and have a hot chocolate, toast a marshmallow, and even toast a wiener for their hot dog. It was a lot of fun and usu- ally there were over a hundred happy children who came for the event. The Santa workers would like to revive this tradition and are planning this event for late December.
Santa will make himself available for pictures (by donation to the Pemberton Valley Fire and Rescue Department), on Saturday 21st December, 11am – 1pm. At the Museum.
Enjoy hot dogs, hot chocolate and a marshmellow roast.
And don’t forget to charge the batteries in your camera.
