Food is a fundamental need.
And a gingerbread house is a fundamental Christmas tradition…
The two are nicely paired by the Pemberton Valley’s Lodge’s 3rd annual Gingerbread Project.
Local businesses can create and display gingerbread creations for all to admire, judge and bid on.
An ongoing silent auction will be held Dec. 10-20 when the creations will be on display at the Pemberton Valley Lodge.
All proceeds from the auction go to the food bank and will be matched by Scotiabank.
To further boost donations for the Pemberton Food Bank, folks viewing the displays are encouraged to bring along non-perishable food items.
Sea to Sky Community Services runs a food bank twice a month in Pemberton, at 1341 Aster Street.
