Coming up at the Library on December 4,  Tracy Defoe facilitates a free workshop on Clear Language and Design.

One of Tracy’s passions is the practice of writing for clarity and layout for readability.

Tracy has taught Clear Language and Design principles for more than twenty years to a wide range of clients including businesses, unions, government departments and community organizations. Most recently, Tracy is editing the Financial Policy and Procedure manual for a large not-for-profit society, writing articles for the Westcoast Reader, and passing along lessons learned in research on the impact of CLAD on three sectors in a 3-year study for Decoda Literacy Solutions.  In October 2013 Tracy attended the world conference for Plain Language to update her knowledge on the research behind the advice she will pass on to you. Tracy Defoe BA MA, is a faculty member at Capilano University.
