When I fell pregnant, the universal response was “Congratulations!”, quickly followed by “Sleep now, for you will never sleep again.”
It’s probably fair to say that sleep deprivation is one of the biggest challenges associated with new parenthood. (It’s also becoming a widespread health “crisis” for professionals, executives, non-parents, and regular folk, as lives get busier, and computer screens become bedtime companions.)
We can’t tackle all those issues in one blog post, but here’s a nice start. Pemberton welcomes its first sleep consultant, Dawnn Whittaker, who will be offering a free information session on August 31, geared specifically towards families with 4mo-18mo olds… but hey, there’s no reason why a 55 year old insomniac couldn’t learn something, too.
