The Wellness Gathering 2012 presents Dr Art Hister, keynote speaker

Celebrity medic, Dr Art Hister, has been a full time “media doctor” since 1991. He’s currently the health analyst for Global TV News in BC, and you can follow him on twitter @globaltvdoc.

An award-winning physician, educator and media personality, Dr Hister is the keynote speaker at the 3rd annual Wellness Gathering, hosted by the Winds of Change, on October 25, 2012, at the Ullus Community Centre in Mt Currie.
In his award-winning presentation, Yes You Can: Simple Steps to Health, Wellness, and Longer, Happier Life, Dr. Art Hister will use his trademark humorous style to inform you about how you can

  1. Increase your chances of living longer
  2. Lower your risk of developing those debilitating, chronic illnesses that most of us think are inevitable consequences of aging, but are not
  3. Slow your aging process
  4. Live with more energy and way more happiness, and
  5. Lower your stress levels and cope better with life’s inevitable hazards.

And best of all, the message is wrapped in a cocoon of humour and accessibility.

Dr. Hister is a health columnist for several publications and web sites, as well as the author of two Canadian medical best-sellers, and consultant to several organizations including the BC Alzheimer Society and the Tapestry Foundation, on the impacts of an ageing population, but his proudest achievement is his family.

  1. Dawn Johnson says:

Lisa! Hope you are well. I am so sorry, I didn’t save you tomatoes. It was a crazy tomatoe haze and before I knew it they all got canned up, but I can gift you a can of mine:) And, I just picked our pear tree, so if you still want to can, I will let you know when we are doing the pears. Likely a couple weeks away yet.

Do you know what time he is speaking? I would love to come and see. Is it kid friendly? D
