Fall Clothing Swap at the Pemberton Community Centre, Saturday, Nov 3, Noon – 3pm

Fall Clothing Swap

High noon on Saturday is your chance to clean out your closet and/or update your look AND help all kinds of critters (fur babies and wild ones) AND keep things out of landfill AND start to build a more circular economy. And socialize. Bonus.

The Pemberton Fall Clothing Swap is an initiative of the SLRD’s Zero in on Waste team.

Swap your previously loved clothing and accessories for new treasures at Pemberton’s Fall Clothing Swap 2018!

Entry fee:
– $10 with Swappable Clothing
– $20 Empty Handed

All funds raised will be donated to Pemberton Animal Well-being Society and Coast to Cascades Grizzly Bear Initiative!

SWAP:
Wanting to downsize or refresh your wardrobe? Bring by any of your previously loved clothing, outdoor apparel, shoes, and/or accessories and SWAP them for something fresh! Please make sure your donations are in good condition, washed and ready to go to new home 🙂

If you are coming with clothes, make sure you arrive within the first 30 mins of the event. This will provide volunteers with enough time to hang clothes before the swap bonanza begins. You will surely be entertained with live music and a sustainable silent auction! There will be a small selection of open gym toys available for kids to play with.

Any unswapped clothing remaining will be sorted by volunteers to be upcycled into a DIY craft Dog Toys, “T-shirt yarn” AND donated to Dress for Success, a charity empowering women into the workforce, and the Whistler Re-Use-It Centre, a social enterprise fueling Whistler’s social programs and diverting tonnes of waste from the landfill annually.
