For some folk, the annual Christmas tradition means traipsing around in the woods to find a tree.
For others, it means traipsing around in the woods to find a different kind of trophy: a bird sighting.
Last year, 30,416 birds were tallied, with 131 species identified, throughout Sea to Sky in the annual Christmas bird count.
Over the 10 years of corridor surveys, 180 species have been identified.
