Input: Create Your Own One Mile Lake Master Plan

The last few weeks, I’ve been hiking around One Mile Lake a lot, discovering new trails and the new disc golf course with a sense of wonder and appreciation for all the effort that has gone in behind the scenes by trailbuilders, disc golf advocates, and the Village of Pemberton.

A lot of what has taken place at One Mile Lake over the past almost-decade is the result of a Master Plan developed with community input in 2005.

Now that many of those recommendations have been implemented, the Village of Pemberton is seeking further input from users on the future of this wild community park.

Local user groups and community members can pick up an info package from the Village Office, with maps detailing 2012 community outreach comments, activity areas, amenities, topography, environmentally sensitive areas, Spirited Grounds, and historical interest areas to help you with your own visioning. Ideas from your plans will be considered in the development of the new One Mile Lake Master Plan.
The period for input closes at the end of September.
If your community or user group would be interested in participating in this outreach exercise, please contact admin@pemberton.ca or 604 894 6135 to receive the necessary materials and maps.
