The Lillooet Lake Rodeo, beautifully and evocatively captured in sound and pictures, by Switchback Entertainment’s Mike Douglas and Susie Douglas. Normally, Mike shoots a different kind of regional action – capturing local athletes and snow-drenched stories on the mountain. So awesome to have him turn his film-making eye on another group of local “riders” and their amazing feats. (Check out this interview with him about the video at Mountain Life magazine.)

My family and I went to the Lillooet Lake Rodeo in 2012 and loved it, so we really wanted to go again this year. Just as we were leaving the house I ran over to the office and grabbed a camera in case I saw something cool. The best thing is that the entire community of Mt Currie comes out for the whole weekend. There are so many interesting characters walking around and so much good action that it’s hard to not get good shots. ~ Mike Douglas
