On Saturday, May 11, the Village of Pemberton, SLRD and Interact Club host an Emergency Preparedness Open House at the Pemberton Community Centre.
In addition to the chance to sit in a fire truck, police car or ambulance, visit with Smokey the Bear, the Pemberton Fire Department’s famous Hot Dog BBQ and information on everything from camp fire safety to home smoke detectors to personal emergency kits, an art table will be set up so that elementary age students can make a poster that will be entered into the Great BC Shake Out contest.
