Every day is Earth Day – a day to celebrate the Earth, pick up litter, plant something, or enjoy the great outdoors.

But this year, Earth Day is also enfolded by Pitch in Week, April 21-27, Canada’s largest environmental improvement campaign.

More than 622,000 Canadians participate in the program each year. Village of Pemberton Council and staff will participate in a 20-Minute Makeover of the property surrounding the Village office (Pioneer Park, Wye Lands and Prospect Street).

Individuals and community groups who would like to Pitch-in around Pemberton will receive garbage and recyclables bags from the Village, and we’ll arrange pick-up and disposal of the bags after your event.

How to participate:

1. Recruit your neighbourhood group
2. Choose a date, time and location to clean up
3. Register with the Village of Pemberton online or at the Village office, 7400 Prospect Street
