A conundrum: A question asked for amusement, typically one with a pun in its answer.
Can we win the One Mile Dinner Photo Feast?
The odds are against us: we are sub-urban dwellers; we are not endowed with a green thumb; the state does not trust us with firearms. But we have big ambition and a love of exquisite food…and one small apple tree planted by the previous owners. We can do it. With a little help from our MacBook. Scour the internet. Find the recipe. Get to work.
The apple of my eye:
The harvest is complete:
The result: authentic baked apple. The ingredients: heat, cinnamon and brown sugar. (The ice-cream is not part of our entry – please don’t consider it judges.)
The result: a delicious, locally sourced, organic, treat for the tastebuds. Sweet, yet tart. Warm flavours reminiscent of a fall walk through the forest with birds chirping. A loving cuddle of flavours that can only be shared around the hearth in a romantic embrace. Eaten without haste, the dessert is to be enjoyed and savoured. It is everything good that the One Mile Photo Feast stands for.
Can we win the One Mile Dinner Photo Feast? We already have. Yum!
