After enduring a struggle with her self-image, Zoya is on a mission to ensure that others do not have to fight the same personal battle.

At age 18, Zoya is an open-minded leader, a dedicated volunteer, and a caring humanitarian. Zoya believes that true beauty comes from within. In August 2011, she founded the Simply You Program at Dr. Charles Best Secondary, which is designed to empower youth to recognize their leadership capabilities and embrace their inner beauty. The Simply You Program is currently expanding to other schools in School District #43. Zoya’s accomplishments include being a TEDx speaker, running as a torchbearer in Vancouver’s 2010 Winter Olympic games, and being a recipient of the Terry Fox Humanitarian Award. In addition, Zoya has contributed hundreds of volunteer hours to her community. Zoya finds great happiness in making others smile.
