If you’ve noticed a different sort of intense action going on at One Mile Lake lately, that would be the Pemberton Canoe Outrigger Training Camp.
After a busy weekend dominating at the BC Summer Games, local paddlers are now heading to the Worlds this August, as part of the Junior National Outrigger Sprint crew.
On Friday, July 27, at 6pm, the Legion will play host to a fundraiser dinner, to help local paddlers take on the world.
Beef or Chicken Shish Kabobs, Pemberton organic potatoes, Salad & Dessert for just $15 per person.
Come out and support the 19 Youth from Pemberton who have been chosen to be a part of Team Canada at the IVF 2012 World Outrigger Canoe Sprint Championships in Calgary this August.
